                                                  Boudicca Research: Boudicca was the Queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe. When her husband (Prasutagus) died, the land was left to the Romans and his daughters. However, the Romans attitudes had changed towards the Celts. They took their property and Boudicca was whipped.  In 60 AD, Gaius Suctonis Paullinus had become the leader of the Roman army. When he was away, Boudicca and the tribe rebelled. When Paullinus had heard about what had happened, he went to Londinium (London). Boudicca and the tribe had succeeded and torched Londinium. They continued to attack by going to Verulamium and Camulodunujm. They had killed more than 70,000 people.  The Battle of Walting Street left Boudicca being defeated.
