I've now finished creating my first vignette illustration. This piece shows how Boudicca has been adopted by the royal family and now is on her way to her new home. To create this illustration, I used fine liner. Afterwards, I've scanned it into Photoshop so that I can apply colour to it. For this piece, I used a mixture of simple and detailed lines. I've applied simple lines on the hair and cloak and I've added detailed lines to the clothing and the grass. I've tried to keep a good balance between flat and toned colours.  I've added tone to elements such as Boudicca's hair and to add a shadow underneath their feet.
